Gallium Arsenide Windows |
Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) is a tough, IR transmitting semi-insulating and insoluble material. Its hardness and strength makes GaAs suitable for the applications where toughness and durability are important. |
Gallium Arsenide has transmittance from 2 microns to 15 microns and low absorbtion coefficient over that spectrum. It is widely used in the applications of thermal imaging and FLIR systems. |
GaAs is commonly used between 3-5μm and 8-12μm wavelengths and provides an alternative to ZnSe in medium and high-power CW CO2 laser systems for lenses and windows. |
HYT Sapphire Optics offers high quality Gallium Arsenide windows with anti-reflection coating optimized for the region of spectrum interested. |
